Fellowship-Trained Sports Medicine Surgeon Dr. Sean Wilson Joins Southern Indiana Orthopedics
Sean M. Wilson, M.D., fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon, is joining Southern Indiana Orthopedics. Dr. Wilson specializes in sports medicine, total joint replacement surgery and trauma surgery. Beginning Aug. 21, Dr. Wilson will be available to see patients at the practice’s Columbus office, located at 4665 N. US Highway 31, and at their Greensburg office, located at 930 E. As an advanced, subspecialty-trained sports medicine surgeon, Dr. Wilson specializes in a wide variety of leading-edge procedures and surgical techniques. His areas of expertise include:
- Minimally invasive surgery.
- Arthroscopy of the ankle, elbow, hip, knee and shoulder.
- Total and reverse total joint replacement.
- Trauma surgery.
- Fracture repair.
- Orthobiologics.

Dr. Wilson received his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City before completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. He then went to Rothman Orthopaedic Institute and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for extensive fellowship training in sports medicine.
